Status Update

Emma Kai is 25% done

Still enjoying this, but I didn’t realise it was 600 pages long... personally a bit much for an audiobook and I’m perhaps missing some of the subtleties of the imagery and subtext through the narration. A review online refers to the book as having ‘Dickensian sweep’, which I agree with and I think that’s why it’s not gripping me as much as I’d hoped.
