I haven't even finished this one, yet had to order two more novels by this author. The psychological portrait of Kikutani, the main character, is just so finely calibrated.. I have no idea what the ending half has in store, but I have this eerie feeling I'm watching Kikutani slowly break emotionally, due to the unforgiving pressures of society, and his own inability to express his will.
