Kyle Muntz Ah! How was the start? (Usually wouldn't ask so early but I remember thinking there was something very bold about how Wolfe opened this book.)

Joseph Michael Owens Really intriguing; I haven't read them yet, but I *think* Zelazny's Amber Chronicles starts similarly, i.e. Guy from the present ends up in a fantasy world where epic things are bound to happen, which is awesome!!

Kyle Muntz I remember liking Wolfe's treatment of time...and how, since he's using an almost familiar YA device of having a kid brought into a fantasy world, he literally just skips everything those other books would be about and doesn't even show him adjusting. Like, 10 pages in it's 3 years later or something haha.
