Miranda > Status Update

I'm about 300 pages in and still have no idea what is really going on. Also its kinda weird that this guy who is supposed to 1,700 years old or something is think about when a 12 year old girl comes of age and my need a consort for her court and he's bickering with his father in a away about which o e of them will take the position and also the girl is mentioned multiple times to be the daughter of the fathers soul.
