Man is it a struggle to get through this book. It has been sitting on my bedside for months now and I could barely make through 2 pages whenever I pick it up. While I'm certain that the chapters bear metaphorical ties to German history, so far I'm not motivated enough to figure them out. Perhaps it reads better in its native language, but that still doesn't fix the other problem of it taking forever to progress.
