I know I started this book in September. Don't let that fool you though, I think Follett writes excellent historical fiction, and this book is one of the best I've ever read. It is insightful into the events and attitudes of WW1, and the characters are brilliantly realised. It's been a slow read, and I aim to finish it today.

I see less fantasy in my future, more historical writing.

Although I've been reading fantasy almost exclusively for years now, historical fiction remains one of my most beloved genres. This reads perfectly for any fantasy fan looking to branch out.
