I kind of want to stop reading this. It's getting worse. Also, my ability to figure out what's going on is fading fast...there are characters named Tom, Thomas, and Dr. Thomas, and characters named Stan, Stanley, and Stanfield. The editing is so awful I can barely figure out what is going on in some places.

I'm now of the opinion that it was definitely a poor decision to go with first person perspective with two different viewpoint characters. Not sure the story has gotten any better yet, either.

So, about 50 pages in, and I'm not sure what to think. I'm finding the way Charlotte speaks a bit offensive, and am really not sure how I feel about the alternating chapter perspectives. Also, minor issues that should have been caught in editing abound.
