Evolutionary neurobiology. Joseph Ledoux is the student of Michael Gazzaniga who was the student of Roger Sperry and worked on the famous split-brain experiments. I read about these in Koch’s book earlier this year and thought it would be cool to read a book from the academic lineage of such revolutionary work into consciousness. So far it has inspired me to learn more about cellular biochemistry, please give recs!
