My main character Tanis, is friendly. He has a group of friends or adventurers that he would catch a bullet or this case a spell or stab wound. In the text it says, "... face split into a wide grin. He held open his arms and before the dwarf could stop him, engulfed Flint in a hug that lifted him off of the ground." (Hickman 22)
