Roy Wilkins is definitely one of America's unsung heroes and it's unfortunate that he is not a household name in this millennium. At this particular section in the book, Wilkins just moved to NYC to be Assistant Secretary at NAACP. I'm taking my time reading because there are several people of interest (thus far mainly within the NAACP) that I am Googling along the way. Major mode of transportation? TRAINS 😊
