Do you think this is something I'd like at all? I have a copy, but it's just been sort of sitting on my headboard for... 3 years. (I actually wasn't a huge fan of Perdido or Iron Council either, which is what kept me off this.)

It's a toss up. I liked Perdido quite a bit, but this one has a different feel to it. I think there are a lot of elements in it you'd really dig. Give it a go!
More like--do you think it improves on Perdido, or moves in a different direction etc.
Different direction, figuratively and literally. Plus the character of Uther Doul is pretty much worth the price of admission alone. Just my 2 cents!
And the stuff on "possibility physics/energy", chaos theory, quantum mechanics, plus a few other concepts is both neat and fun.
The middle DOES sag a bit but it's fantastic once it picks back up!
