From the very beginning, this is one of the most powerful, poignant and important books I’ve ever read.

Started listening to this on my 49th birthday,missing my mother who died in 1976, so immediately felt a connection to this bereft child.
Alan is devastatingly eloquent. I am smiling, sobbing, laughing through tears, and filled with incandescent rage and heartache.
