We're still in Germany. The book continues the search of more lost paintings based on what was found in the salt mines. Besides that, the book is in the latter half of April, 1945.

Wow. The book has took a dark turn that makes sense in history. The monuments men nearly avoided death many times, but this is the first in the book where we see one of our characters die, and we see how one coworker, who was a friend of the character who died, write a letter to the family of our character who died. The letter and the whole section of the book is really sad.

Something that we talk about in the next 28 pages from last time is that the book talks about the boycott of jews from 1937 to the current moments of WW2 in the story.

Didn't get a lot more read but the book is getting good. Right now it's in Italy and they're placing "off bounds" signs.

After the first 70 pages, wow. This book is good. It follows the monuments men, who come to save historical monuments in Nazi controlled Europe, 1944.
