i'm not loving this book the way i fell head-over-heels for the poisonwood bible. but barbara, i have faith in you. together, we'll journey to the bitter end.

ok, so the prose is lovely, but sometimes, you just want to know what the H-E-double-hockey-sticks is going on!

yeah, my kindle doesn't "do" page numbers. whatever that's about. kingsolver's words still jump off the page and wrap their arms around you... sigh. she's a lyricist writing in prose. YUM.
