It was by chance that I stumbled upon this movie at the $3 theater. I had no idea there was a book. I watched the movie with my 11 year old daughter. We both enjoyed it. The story stayed with me and my daughter said it was good. I later found out there was a book. I wanted to know more. Not that I had much in common with Chris. Divorced with an eleven year old. But I understood how he felt at his age.
