Finished Esdras (mostly retelling), Prayer of Manasseh, Letter of Jeremiah, and Baruch, Judith, Greek Esther - retake of same story, with some embellishments - good story, but troubling aspects.

Finished Esdras (mostly retelling), Prayer of Manasseh, Letter of Jeremiah (great! bash the idols! including...?, but in my opinion preserve such as artistic and cultural artifacts), and Baruch (not much new here), Judith (slow start, riveting heroic story). Greek Esther next.

I finished reading Tobit, ending on p 30 of the Apocrypha/Deuterocanonical section. Tobit was a good religious novel, interesting reading from that time period. I am jumping to p 279, 1 Esdras next. I have been reading all of the books in my own designated order based in part on chronology, part on time period written, and part on reading most of the Apocrypha after the Hebrew Bible (read additions to Daniel with it)

I just finished Daniel, including Apocryphal additions, Susana (read before Daniel), Prayer of Azariah and the Song of the Three Jews (read between Daniel 3:23 and 3:24), and Bel and the Dragon (read after Daniel). Then I finished off the Hebrew Bible with Haggai, Zechariah, and Malachi. Next I dive into the Apocrypha with Tobit. I'm looking forward to reading the Apocrypha having been deprived of it before.

Finally got back to my journey through the Bible finishing the next book on my reordered list of books: Esther. Daniel, including Apocrypha additions, is next whenever I get around to it.

Finished Ezra and Nehemiah, Esther next.
