I have read almost all of Murakami's books. Some of the wonderful short stories are "Shinagawa Monkey", " Elephant Vanishes"...I am re-reading " Kafka on the shore". With any other author the talking monkeys and cats may look like kids story. But with Murakami there is sense of implicit belief of such surrealistic happenings!
