This reads like a combination of Perry Rhodan (1960s version), Thorne Smith (I'm not much of a fan), and Fredric Brown's SF output (some of it is okay, but I vastly prefer Brown's Crime & Mystery stuff). Nevertheless, it's kind of fun, and it's not like I'm all that surprised by the tone or the type of humour. We'll see how it goes; I'm not taking it seriously. I did like Sinister Barrier a lot - but, it's dated.
