I find that often times, it's very obvious to me when a "friend" of an author writes a review.
As a writer, I'm asking my friends not to write me fluff reviews.
I'd rather you read my work and tell me it's crap than it be crap and you go on and on about how awesome it is.
Only to have others read it and get slammed.
Yes, this does happen.
And fellow authors, take my advice. This does more harm than good.
