Ah, Robespierre...you've gone and lost your head.

I'll say this very effusively when I finish and write a review, but if you love history and magic and epic events told through the lens of individual characters, then you absolutely need this book on your TBR.

I'm excited to see where these story threads all converge. Parry is a really great storyteller.

The characters in this book: "Fuck another game of anagrams--let's go to the 21st century and use the internet; that thing is so, so much better than everything we have. Also, INDOOR PLUMBING."
