I think that I was looking for more of an activism type book rather than more historical context but that’s kind of on me; I’m still glad I read it because she made a lot of broad terms much clearer like “structural” racism and fear of black planet; she’s definitely really knowledgeable on the topic in general but in terms of info + delivery I don’t think it was ... the BEST? rating based on impact here

I made a lot of highlights in this; points were made, especially about the intersectionality between race and gender inequality and how feminism is kind of flawed when it comes to inclusion which really had me thinking about current activism; it wasn’t as complicated as I thought it would be and served as more of an informational overview rather than a more modern solution which I kind of wanted
