I'll never get tired of these books; this world, these characters.

I have no critical to add, just hopelessly biased fanboying.

Folio Society edition includes some amazing original Jonathan Burton artwork:

Yep, I'm reading this again, for the 3rd time, because I'm a slovenly fanboy.
I've picked up the ridiculously expensive Folio Society special edition—which is lovely—and I'll be reading at a very slow pace as I continue to carve through the lit I've planned to get through this year.

I'm... Really not a fan of this Illustrated Edition, actually. The illustration quality is all over the place and some seem to be misplaced within the text. Nearly all include spoilers for the forthcoming chapter, too.
Just really not impressive work on Bantam's part. It reeks of a cash grab. I may finally bite the bullet and pick up the Folio Society Collector's Edition and read that instead.

Third time reading; first time reading Bantam's Illustrated Edition.
This foreword by John Hodgman (who?) is perhaps literally the worst foreword I have ever read. Clocking in at a scant 2.5 pages, featuring 2 spoilers (one major), and one hamfisted modern political reference to no purpose, all while saying nothing unique or interesting about the book or the person writing the foreword.
Just awful.
