I haven't and probably won't Holocaust literature is so tough, and Kari seemed to think this was a really rough one.

I didn't find it hard. The relationships in this family were screwed up, but the story was (to me) easy to read and it really kept my attention. The first part of the book is the parents' history and then it moves on to their relationships with their children. It has made me want to see a counselor to work out my "issues".:)
