She doesn't know that she's persistent? She doesn't know that she likes to try? Does she not look at or think about her actions ever? That's really basic stuff.

Finds out meeting with other king and queen is tomorrow. Decides to waste time choosing the right dress instead of learning all of the international relations stuff she doesn't know. Is expected to learn it all in a day

I really don't agree with the 'political' acumen of the king. He considers it an insult that the other country is sending their queen to visit too, not just their king. Like really?

Hollis: Hears that a family is seeking to move to Coroa
Thinks: Wow their fashion sense is terrible. Are those velvet sleeves? I know nothing about those people because I have no international awareness but their whole country is unoriginal and they only have STEM advances, not the arts.

She knows nothing of politics or her country beyond parties. Whether it's to allow for "Don't you know Bob?" conversations or just because she's carelessly inattentive I don't know.

Real convo:

... 'I would say so. There is even a tree with a wooden swing.'"

Um... What?

No introduction to the 'romance' between the protags. No spark. Why would he marry for love?

The king gives the queen power? She said the queens are more well known. It's old-fashioned to take away their agency. Plus if marriage and monogomy are sacred and divorce is scandal, I sense judgment ahead.

Ask the king if it's socially acceptable to keep her reportedly bastard friend around. A leader wouldn't have time.
