Pretty darn entertaining, and very, very 1930s. More tonight, maybe, or I’ll pick it up tomorrow.

I like it. It’s in the same ballpark as David Dodge, or Bart Spicer, or Jonathan Latimer - all Mystery writers I enjoy reading. We’ll see if Whitfield can stay in good company...but he’ll have to work hard to top something like Dodge’s Death And Taxes.

I got directed to this old Mystery by a list of music-themed Crime novels, and it's my first experience with the writer - though some other list suggests Green Ice. Based on pages 1-56, so far I'm on board for Green Ice. Having fun - it's clever.
