I was expecting to feel differently at this point of the story, but I don’t. In fact, I think this story has taken a turn for the healthy, and I love it so much for this. Other books have triggered me and left me crying when they’ve handled these topics differently, so this feels so nice.

This book has me in Mom Mode™️, which is a sentence I don’t often say.

A little odd reading a protagonist who’s an entire decade younger than me — I haven’t done this in a while — but I love everything about this so far. The book feels like a hug. And it makes me miss L.A. so much!
