Only saw a Mark Lawrence review the other day. I’ve no background on it at all before the review. So far seems nicely gothic in style...
I've discovered some really enjoyable books from Mark's reviews. Senlin Ascends at the top of my list.
Mark’s reviews on here of the Enid Blyton children’s books he’s had to read with his child are marvellous too. But exasperated humour rather than recommendations!

ML recommended Bancroft’s Tower of Babel books right from their first appearance. He gets 5* as a reviewer alone for that.....
