I am sad.

Normally, shoving ALL the things in a book would be irritating. But Bray is so GOOD at seamlessly, normally, embedding so much in her stories!! Racism, systemic oppression, queer love, poverty, depression and mental illness, government abuse of power, priests abusing children, abuse of soldiers, government cover-ups, differently-abled bodies, toxic masculinity, unions...on and on and on...BUT IT IS SO GOOD.
