I'm having a hard time with this. Too many descriptions about killing animals 😭, I can't deal with that right now, not the right timing for sure... But, I'm almost in the middle and the story is interesting. I'm going to try finishing it, but at the moment I think I won't read the second book... Let's see how this one ends.

Well, it's the frontier. You don't hunt, you don't eat. I wish I could say the second one is better about that, but I honestly don't remember. I didn't pay attention to that aspect of it.

Yes, I understand that, but I can't deal with descriptions about beheading animals or cutting its entrails now... I don't mind they explain they needed to hunt, but I don't like them being explicit about it. It's a me thing, I know 🙈🙈
