The first half of this chapter was so dull, didn't learn much. But now that we're on the complements, I'm finally back to something I have never understood well enough.

I read Chinese every day. Every day I am shocked, simply flabbergasted, to look at a sentence in Chinese and actually understand it. It's been a year since I picked up this ability, which still requires much more practice, and yet the sense of awe and wonder never diminish. That is just one small part of the whole magical universe of the Chinese language.

Good to be able to read this in Chinese. English Chinese grammars are complete shit. A single line explanation of a grammatical feature in Chinese makes more sense than a chapter from a book in English. Maybe it also helps that I have now read a few thousand pages of Chinese on my own.
