If I had advice to give Harry, I would tell him to respect his elders better. He always tries to rebel and do his own thing. For example, when Snape tried teaching him occlumency, he got upset at Snape and stopped trying. This led to Sirius being killed because Harry chased down a false dream sent by Voldemort.
