Two of my favorite stories for sure! "Bees in the Mango Trees" and "September-Remember" were smashing! Especially because I had just read 2 dud stories, so this was wonderful to see Stoneman Douglas really shine in the storytelling here.
I didn't get as many nature descriptions with these, but surely her narrative of the hurricane was from first-hand accounts. A+ on those two stories!
