The moral nature of the city where Drizzit lives, will make the average person think this is messed up. Families are encouraged to fight mini wars against each other. Male siblings are encouraged to kill their older brothers, but only when that person desires to advance. Female children can kill their mother when she is in a state of weakness and the daughter is old enough. This is everyday life in homeland

The advice I would give to Drizzit would be to not worry of the wrath of his family. He should just follow his heart, if it says to run from your old life, then do so, I don’t have much advice to give. I feel he made the right decision in running from Menzoberranzan.

The genre of Homland, is Fantasy. This is because it takes place in a fictional realm of Dungeons and Dragons. The UnderDark is a location where it is near the earth’s core. In our world, they would be living in magma, but it is fairly cool there, temperature wise. There are races of humanoids that some people might have never heard of. Like Drow or Svirfnebli.

In the book Homeland, I have made many connections. One of them is a direct connection with the game I play called dungeons and dragons. This story is based off of a society living in a realm called the UnderDark. I personally love to play this game with family and friends, whenever I pick up this book it drives me deeper into the fantasy and lore.
