Ponyboy and Johnny both are stuck in the church waiting for the "fuzz" to stop looking for them. Ponyboy got his hair bleached and cut. Johnny just cut his hair. After a week or so they finally leave. Saved some kids. Dally and Johnny both got hurt. Found out that Cherry was the spy from Two-bit.

Ponyboy and Johnny got jumped by some Socs and Johnny used his pocket knife on Bob and killed him. Ponyboy and Johnny ran away from o=home and stayed in a church until it was all over.

After Johnny, Two-bit, Ponyboy, Cherry, and Marcia left the outdoor movie theater they get spotted by the Socs. The Socs were in a blue mustang. Two of the Socs got out of the car and telling Cherry and Marcia to get in the car. Johnny recognized one of the Socs because he was wearing rings on his finger.

Ponyboy the protagonist gets ganged up my some Socs. In his society their are 3 different classes. Socs which are rich people, middle class, and greasers who are poor. Ponyboy is in a gang with his brothers friends.
