I am still interested in this book. However, at times things are slow. But the plot of the story is piecing itself together. My favorite character is Marie. This is because she is very curious, and doesn't give up easily, despite the many challenges she encounters.

I have continued reading this book. I didn't really like the book that much at first, however, it has grown on me and I will finish the book. My favorite character is now Werner (it used to be Marie) I love his courage and how brave he is. Werner is such an intelligent character and makes the best out of the worst possible situations.

The characters continue on with their lives, however, many things have changed. Marie still struggles with trying to be able to walk home alone. At the orphanage, food and resources still become scarcer. Tensions arise as the war continues. I am curious and will continue reading this book. The location of the book is not clearly described sometimes.

The war continues and becomes more intense. Both of the main characters continue their life, however, their paths have not crossed yet. Marie is still fascinated by the stone. I am curious and excited to continue reading this book. This book is a little slow, but I think it may pick up.

Jutta is fascinated with the radio her brother managed to put together. Marie is still wondering able the jewel, and if its powers are real or not. I am still curious on how the two main characters will cross paths, as they live completely different lives and are opposites of each other. I am also curious to see how the war effects how they will interact.

Marie gets more and more nervous every day. Still, every Tuesday, she tries to get home by herself, failing many times. Meanwhile, he has gotten the radio to work and many kids from the orphanage listen along with him. The effects of the war are becoming more visible among the children. I am very excited to continue reading this book, as I am curious how their paths will cross.

Marie is 16 years old. She is blind, and now lives with her uncle. Werner is the other main character. He is 18 years old, and he is in Germany. The book takes place in France during World War Two. The two main characters are on opposite sides of the war. I am very interested to see where this book will go, and how the two main characters will eventually interact.
