The book Allies is about Dee, a soldier fighting with Americans to end Hitler’s reign of terror across Europe. Hiding his identity, Dee, a German man, does not support the horrors being committed by his home country. Dee fought with Sid, a Jewish-American soldier whose stake in the war is clear. I chose this book because I wanted to learn about the war in a novel's perspective. I appreciate how they kept fighting.
