Acorna meets hornless Aari and they fall in love. Aari is kidnapped in book 4 by an ancient race of time travelers known as the Grimalkin. She follows them through space and time, is reunited with Aari. We are now introduced to Acorna's Children, this series, with three books: First Warning, Second Wave, and Third Watch.

Her race is called Linyaari, partially descended from genetically engineering a humanoid Ancestral Host with the Unicorns. They travel in egg-shaped spacecraft. they lived on the planet, Vhilinyar, before it was invaded and destroyed by the insect-like Khleevi. They are a peaceful people, having no weapons of war. Acorna's parent sacrifice themselves to save their child and their race from the Khleevi.

Acorna, is Unicorn Girl, in this series, a sub-set of the Federated Sentient Planets Universe. She has the ability to heal, make things grow, detect venom poisoning, chemical imbalances, mineral and metal deposits, purify water and air, and communicate telepathically. The first book discusses her individualism. She has a horn in her forehead and a silvery mane of hair and silver eyes. Her feet are like hooves.
