My book can be categorized as young adult fiction, as well as romance. I know this because it is apparent that it is targeted towards teens and young adults, but the story is not true. It is also romance because it follows the love story of Lara Jean and Peter.

If I could give advice to a character, I would tell Lara Jean that she should go to whatever college she wants, regardless of where Peter is. This is because looking back at her college experience, she would feel regretful if she just decided to go to the college that’s convenient for them. In the text, she described feeling like she belonged at UNC, but was hesitant of going since it would be far from Peter.

Peter and Lara Jean live in modern time with laws, but they wrote their own set of rules to follow as a couple. For example, Peter can’t be late, Lara Jean can’t make him do crafts, and most importantly, they will always tell each other the truth. The list started as a joke, but they follow the rules. However, conflicts have occurred because of Peter breaking the most important rule; always tell Lara Jean the truth.
