It just went to far. The manipulative girlfriend of the unlikable protagonist is pregnant and still drinking beer. No one sees a problem with this? And damn it, Texas is not in the Southwest!! If Arkansas was ruled out due to accent then so would Texas. Both states have the same southern dialect. Geez.

Very poor character development childish dialogue. Spent several lines describing people in the first chapter that are completely irrelevant to the book.
Very good storyline.
Unintentionally made the good guy very unlikable.
Texas is NOT in the Southwest. It is the South. The accents are not the same either.
