Ok I like that he learned Hindi and Gujarti to impress her parents.

He called her a two-faced whore??? Oh hell no!

Ughhh I hate Tyler so much! He pressures Priya to break off the engagement to Manuk, which, fine. But now her parents are hurt and angry and practically disown her and all he says is "don't worry, babe. It'll blow over." Gaaaah!

Really, Ty? Virgin-shaming Priya and then pressuring her to have sex with you anyway? Like, Priya's into it, so it's not heinous, but she's not eager either, which then makes Ty's behaviour gross.

Also bleah on his "we're the same culture. You're also American", when she's trying to explain why being Indian-American means a different set of expectations and cultural norms.

WTF? Bleah on Tyler for forcing Priya to spend the night in the same room as him after she said one of them should sleep on the couch. Even if he doesn't do anything with her, it's still a violation of boundaries.

Or like he just tells her their visit to his parents is an overnight one. Like when they're already halfway there. I'd hate that.

I do like Raj though, and I'm happy for Priya's roommate Vicki. :-)

Bleah also to Ty's reaction to Bollywood films. "If I wanted to read subtitles, I'd read a book." "There's too much singing and dancing." Like, I get it's not for everyone, but (1) it's part of the culture of the woman you want to impress, give it a chance at least, and (2) being this stereotypically white is such a turn off.

And now he takes her into the pool and keeps her there even though she outright freaks out about the water. He assures her she's safe and holds on to her, so I guess this is meant to be sweet, but bleah. This dude needs to learn boundaries.
