The first thing I find out from the chapter 14 is that Amir and Soraya are married. They are in US. They are going to college in California to get their bachelor's degree. They have other jobs to make money and also how they love each other. Also, I felt admired when Amir demonstrates the empathy of Rahim his life mentor and Amir felt seriousness of what is going on with Pakistan and Afghanistan. They are same people

I finished the book. This book was not fun but it was an inspirational book. I was able to learn about Afghan culture and Afghanis life. I was able to relate my family's experiences in Korean War. I learned Afghanistan must be a safe country. I was able to understand the refugee's perspective on the current situations. This book was well recommended. I would like to recommend to others.

I read until end of chapter 24. I learned a lot from this book. First of all, I was able to learn about the life of Afghani people. I was not educated about. I was able to change my stereotypical perspective on Afghanistan on the fact that they are the terrorist country. It was a meaningful book to learn some life lessons. As a Korean, I was able to connect this situation as my family's experiences in the Korean War.

I read until the end of chapter 22. I find a lot of interesting points in this book. There are ups and downs that author is experiencing throughout the book. When I first read this book, I do not get the definition of our theme "Take a walk in my shoes" but after I am close to reading this book. I was able to find my own definition of empathy and challenges. It also provides the lesson to myself how to be resilient.

I read until end of chapter 20. Chapter 16 begins of with Rahim asks Allah for forgiveness. The war ended. The thing I got confused was when the characters in Afghanistan when Amir did not noticed the damage. The thing I was surprised was the fact that when Farid reacts when the Taliban use any reasons to conceal the truth why they are attacking. I will read more and find out a lot of turning points. I am enjoying.

I read until the end of chapter 12. The chapter 11 starts with Baba and Amir arrives at Fremont, California. That's where they lived for their first two years. Baba tries to adjust at US. I read until end of chapter 10. There are nothing much going on in the chapter 9. I also learn how Baba was a nice person who gives the money to a person who is like his biological son. Amir's money got stolen by Hassan but he forgives him. This action shows the empathy of him. Chapter 10 starts off with Baba and Amir traveling to Pakistan. I feel bad but also courageous about their journey for freedom and safety.

I read until end of the chapter 8, I think the chapters I read was interesting and sad. The part that was sad is when Russia invade Afghanistan because people are dying. But the interesting point is when the author always emphasizes the winter of 1975. There was rape happened end of the chapter 7. Amir is not hanging out with Hassan because Hassan is harassing Amir. I think I will find out when the harassment stop.

I read until end of the Chapter 6, there's no major events or climaxes to change the reader's attention. I think it was a good chapter because I was able to learn about author's life in Afghanistan with his friend, Hassan. They were flying the kite together during the winter time. Winter is mostly cold in Afghanistan. But also the kite symbolizes the material to run away and freedom because you could fly anywhere.

To start off from Chapter 3, it was a sad chapter because of the crazy diplomatic issues with the author's home country, Afghanistan and the US. When I read Chapter 4, the chapter was nothing much going on. However, I learned about author's childhood and his friend, Hassan. When I read until the end of Chapter 5, there are crazy things going on with Afghans. Also, Assef bullys Hassan a lot. If I was him, I will stop
