A quick read with lots of examples on Black how pop cultural icons give Black women scripts on navigating their sexuality when such scripts didn’t exist. I found the beginning of the book and the chapter on religion the most useful. The lists of examples go on a bit long at times, but is a great place to solidify your knowledge on this topic.
