Other parts of this book are fine and I still like Tan but still not excusable

I understand his career and entire life revolve around outward appearance but this is a complete trash book that is incredibly harmful.

I’m pretty sure I’m about to DNF this. Is this entire book just him giving his opinion on superficial looks and acting like it’s fact?? Like he’s the authority? I’m UPSET
