Tristan is very concerned about the hole in the sky it keeps on bringing in terrible monsters and terrorizing the people. It also keeps on taking people away and he can't do anything about it until he closes the hole in the sky.

In my book, I used to think this character called gum baby was mean, she tried to steal the most imported book from Tristan. She appeared like a stealer, unkind and rude. But then when Tristan followed her back to the other dimension, they ended up needing it to fix the hole/tear in the sky. Now she appears helpful and kind.
