I felt absolutely the same way when i read it!
I've only realized how much i loved this book after I finished it
That is exactly how this book is!
It is more about characters

an incredible book
just finished reading this yesterday for the first time and i felt the same way. i think you really need to take your time reading this one. I ended up loving the entire story.
I'm Canadian I don't care for hockey but I couldn't out this book down. Backman is one of my favorite authors he even made hockey engrossing. I read it then I listened to the audiobook then I listened to the audiobook with a friend.
