Part One has me hooked! All of the characters are very well-developed and interesting. Naturally Sam won my heart. At the moment, Sam's mother is really standing out to me. She is an interesting character who exhibits wisdom, strength, insight and unconditional love. Her determination to defend what's "right" is outstanding and inspirational. I cannot wait to carry on with the reading.
