so we now learn the secret that crash was hiding. burns actually walked in on his sister after she had taken the pills, and when she reached out to him, he left the room. steven loved roxanne, and that bothered burns to the piont that he actually let her die so she wouldnt be happy.

now we actually begin to learn about the event that began the whole book. we are now learning that burns actually has everything planned out from installing bombs in the school to getting the police to try work with him. this characterizes burns as being crazy because hes going to shoot up the school only because he's had a hard past.

we learn that burns is now missing, and no one knows where he is after his sisters death. in a way i feel bad for burns because his entire family died,leaving him alone. we also suspect that jamie( crash's younger sister) is trying to kill herself. jamie was close to roxanne so we dont know what shes thinking.

we learn the horrible news that roxanne actually killed herself. she commited sucide and even thought steven insisted (wayyy tooo much) that he had no feelings for her, he seems pretty torn up by the news. the symbolism would be driving . when burns mom died of breast cancer, he drove for hours. at first steven didnt understand this but now he notices that he was trying to escape his problems in a special way.

so far we learn that steven is being taught by burns sister, and they have a weird realationship where theyre are dating in secretcy. steven is actually scared because if knows if burns finds out then he'll flip out. burns actually does flip out, for no reason at all, as he has kidnapped a girl.

this book is actually very interesting, because it has many twists and turns. In what has happened so far, roxanne knows that steven has a crush on her, which makes Steven nervous. we find out that Mrs.burns died of breast cancer, and burns is dealing horribly.
