I am very proud of Tris (aka Beatrice). When she found out that she was Divergent, instead of choosing the faction her parents wanted her to choose, she decided to go with the faction that best fits who she is. As the book continues, the reader can tell that Tris is showing her braver side. She was the first to jump off the building during one of the Dauntless tests.

Tris has been doing very well in her new faction. The trainers and other Dauntless are starting to respect her more. But on Visiting day, I was not all that surprised when her mother came, but her father didn't. She had excepted it better than he had. And I was shocked to find out why. Tris's mother used to be a Dauntess! I wonder, what made her choose Abnegation?
