Read p244-266 to finish chapter 11 Giordano Bruno: The Secret of the Seals

Finished chapter 9.i think she's missing the point...

Chapter 9: interesting system here. Sounds suspiciously like a PAO. Also not surprising given someone who was interested in codes and cryptography.

Finished Chapter 8: Lullism as an Art of Memory
She outlines Lull's Art and then ties it to pseudo-Lullists who move his art into Cabalist influences and then into Camillo's theater.
Generally Lull stayed away from images in his art of memory and focused on BCDEFGHIK which look suspiciously to me as the form of the Major System. I'll need to delve into the ties and space between them to tie them together however.

There really are times where I think Yates is dramatically misreading things. I may have to read all the underlying material to tell properly...

I'm seeing what may be veiled references to the Major system going back to the 1300s, but Yates doesn't seem to know what they may be as she's wrapped up in the "Memory Palace" of Ad Herrenium.

I can only think how much better the world might be if Ad Herrenium and other classical sources had survived into the renaissance more intact.

Nice section on Albertus Magnus and Thomas Aquinas and misreading of Ad Herrenium et al.
