a computer, named blaine, was going to kill himself along with the rest of the gang. then after roland talked with him, he decided that if they can tell him a riddle that he can't solve he would let them live and take them to their destination. This book had a great twist to the story and i can't wait to read the next

a guy with nothing left to lose threatens the gang with a live grenade with nothing stopping it except his own hand. He made them give him Jake otherwise he would kill them all.

roland finally got jake back.

Jake skipped school in order to to find more about how he will find the gunslinger.

Eddie shows roland the key that he's been making for weeks. Jake keeps having a dream telling him what he needs to do and it also keeps telling him to find the gunslinger.

Jake went home to find his parents were waiting for him to question him about why he skipped school and came home late.

it tells the story of how jake, the kid in the first book, died. This time instead of dying, the guy holding the boombox behind him had grabbed the back of his shirt and saved him from falling into the street and getting hit by the car

They continue down the path getting closer to the dark tower.
